Privacy Policy

DocToHub helps users create, load, edit, and update HubSpot marketing emails from Google Docs. This Privacy Policy explains what information DocToHub collects, how that information is used, and how users can contact us.

Information we collect

DocToHub may collect and process the following information:

• Google account email address: Used to associate your Google Docs session with your HubSpot connection.
• Google Docs content you choose to process: DocToHub reads the active Google Doc content only when you use actions such as previewing fields, loading email data, creating a draft, updating an email, or inserting CRM personalization tokens.
• HubSpot OAuth tokens: When you connect HubSpot, DocToHub stores OAuth access and refresh tokens so it can perform requested actions in your connected HubSpot account.
• HubSpot account metadata: DocToHub may store HubSpot portal/user identifiers returned by HubSpot OAuth to associate your Google user with your connected HubSpot account.
• Email draft data: When you create or update HubSpot emails, DocToHub processes the email name, subject line, preview text, body HTML, plain text, hyperlinks, personalization tokens, layout choice, and send type.
• CRM property metadata: When you load CRM tokens, DocToHub requests HubSpot property metadata, including supported standard and custom object properties, so available personalization tokens can be displayed.
• Technical logs: Our backend provider may process routine server logs such as timestamps, request paths, errors, and service health information.

How we use information

DocToHub uses information only to provide and improve the product, including to:

• Connect your Google Docs workflow with your authorized HubSpot account.
• Load existing HubSpot marketing emails into Google Docs when you request it.
• Create new HubSpot marketing email drafts when you request it.
• Update existing HubSpot marketing emails when you request it.
• Display and insert HubSpot personalization tokens.
• Maintain your HubSpot connection and refresh OAuth tokens when needed.
• Debug errors, improve reliability, and protect against misuse.

Google user data

DocToHub uses Google user data only to provide user-facing features that are clearly initiated by the user. DocToHub does not sell Google user data, does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not use Google Docs content to train artificial intelligence models.

HubSpot data

DocToHub accesses HubSpot data only through the permissions granted by the user during HubSpot OAuth authorization. DocToHub uses HubSpot access to list marketing emails, load selected email content, create drafts, update selected emails, and retrieve CRM property metadata for personalization tokens.

Data sharing

DocToHub does not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate DocToHub, such as hosting, database, and infrastructure providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide the service.

Data storage and security

HubSpot OAuth tokens are stored in a database so users can remain connected to HubSpot. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

DocToHub retains HubSpot connection data while your account remains connected. When you disconnect HubSpot from DocToHub, the stored HubSpot connection for your Google user is removed from our active connection records. Some limited information may remain in backups or operational logs for a reasonable period.

User choices

You can:

• Disconnect HubSpot from the DocToHub sidebar.
• Revoke app access from your HubSpot account settings.
• Request support or deletion assistance by contacting us.

Children

DocToHub is intended for business and professional use. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
