When contacting support, include:
- The Google account email you use with DocToHub.
- The HubSpot portal/account you connected.
- Whether the issue happened while creating a new draft, updating an existing email, loading CRM tokens, or connecting HubSpot.
- Any error message shown in the DocToHub sidebar.
- Screenshots if available.
Common troubleshooting steps
HubSpot is not connected
Open the DocToHub sidebar, click Connect HubSpot, approve the requested HubSpot permissions, return to Google Docs, and click Check Connection.
Emails are not loading
Confirm that HubSpot is connected and that your HubSpot user has permission to access marketing emails. Then try disconnecting and reconnecting HubSpot.
Personalization tokens are missing
Confirm that your HubSpot account has the relevant CRM objects and properties and that DocToHub has the necessary HubSpot permissions.
Updating an existing email failed
Make sure you first loaded an existing HubSpot email into the Google Doc. The Update Existing Email button is intended to update the selected email that was loaded from HubSpot.
Creating a draft failed
Confirm all required fields are present in your Google Doc: Email Name, Subject Line, Preview Text, and Body. Also confirm HubSpot is connected.
